Maneesha Madan - RMT

Maneesha Madan knew she wanted to work as a massage therapist at age sixteen and fulfilled this dream by graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1996. Since then, she has practiced in clinic settings in Vancouver, on Denman Island and in the Comox Valley.

Maneesha approaches health care from a holistic perspective, believing all human beings have an innate ability to heal themselves. She strives to facilitate this process by using a variety of techniques that encourage the restoration of balance and function to each individual. Myofascial Release has formed the basis of her treatment approach since 2000, when she studied extensively in Sedona, Arizona with John Barnes. She also incorporates Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation and Muscle Balance and Function Development®, a system of rehabilitative exercises that improve alignment and mobility. She has a special interest in working with women’s reproductive health, providing safe, gentle treatments during pregnancy and the postpartum period, as well as effective relief of menstrual and menopausal imbalances.

Maneesha is currently on sabbatical from the University of British Columbia, having recently completed her third year of the Bachelor of Midwifery program.
